Privacy policy
This policy explains what we collect when you join the Ajora waitlist, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Ajora is pre-launch, so right now the only information we handle is what you give us to hear about our launch.
Who we are
Ajora is operated by Ajora Fintech Solutions Ltd (RC 9624174), a company registered in Nigeria and based in Jos. For anything in this policy, you can reach us at contact@ajora.app. We act as the data controller for the waitlist information described below.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect:
- Your email address — so we can tell you when Ajora opens.
- An optional segment — whether you're a group member, an organizer, or a solo saver. This is optional and only helps us understand who's interested.
We do not ask for your name, phone number, bank details, or any financial information at this stage. Please don't send us those.
Lawful basis
We process your waitlist information on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights” below), and doing so won't affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
How we use it
We use your email address for one purpose: to send you launch updates about Ajora — for example, letting you know when the founding cohort opens. We do not use it for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist information until Ajora launches and you've had the chance to create an account, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, we'll remove them from our active list promptly and keep only what we're required to keep by law, if anything.
Who can see it
Your information is handled by Ajora and by the service we use to manage the waitlist and send email (our email/form provider), acting on our instructions. We choose providers that take data protection seriously, and we share only what's needed to contact you about launch.
Analytics
We measure how the site is used with privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics. It does not set cookies, does not store personal information, and does not track you across other websites — so there's no consent banner to click through. We only see anonymous, aggregated figures like page views.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you have the right to:
- Unsubscribe at any time — every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Withdraw consent and ask us to delete your details.
- Access or correct the information we hold about you.
To exercise any of these, email contact@ajora.app and we'll act on your request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Changes to this policy
As Ajora moves from waitlist to launch, this policy will be reviewed by legal counsel and updated. When it changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
